Southern Financial Systems, Inc. DBA Southern Financial Collections is a full service Collection Agency located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Like most other collection agencies we are a Contingency Based agency, however, we are not your typical collection agency. We are equipped and able to handle your accounts at any and all phases of collection process. We also effectively locate "lost" debtors or those debtors in a "skip-trace" status or debtors who simply never fulfill their "promises to pay".

Southern Financial Systems utilizes "Columbia Ultimate" collection software to service your accounts. In conjunction with our predictive dialer system "Smartdial", we are able to work your accounts with maximum efficiency. We sre able to receive your collection files by several different methods to include paper files, diskette, or over the internet (128 bit Encryption required per HIPAA). Depending on how you turn your accounts over, we can load and assign accounts to a collector to be worked within 30 minutes of our receiving your write off.

For those accounts that need a little extra, we use an advanced internet search program to locate new phone numbers and addresses (skip-trace accounts).

All collectors receive training in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (F.D.C.P.A.), and in Professional Telephone Collector's Techniques before they are allowed to contact or speak with a consumer. Collectors are monitored closely and advised of new laws and rulings related to the F.D.C.P.A.

Our Mission

Southern Financial Systems Pledges the following:

All collection activities will be carried out in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
All collected monies will be kept in a trust account and paid to you on a monthly basis. This will be accompanied by an easy to read, detailed report on all payments received for that month.
We will acknowledge all accounts received from your office. We will use your account number as reference numbers for ease of tracking. We do request that as much information as possible is sent with the account to assist us in collecting the account for you.
SFS will provide clients full access to their accounts for review and examination. Mr. Amacker will be available for liaison between your office and SFS during normal working hours for issues that may arise on an account.
All accounts will be worked to completion utilizing all available collection and skip-tracing tools. This includes on-line services, credit bureau reports, public records, and a detailed investigation. Although we cannot guarantee collection of your accounts, all efforts will be used to facilitate collection. Remember. We don't get paid until you get paid.
